jawaja ::: Favorites this was a beautiful piece no doubt.. but i think it got more credit for what it was only becuase of the set up that was shown...if u saw the piece without the video intro with mia explaining what it was about it would have had a different effect i believe..people would have interpreted it how they would have without being told what it already was... the park bench was much more intricate and complex and thought out..either way mia is amazing... 07-08-07 04:56:37 _____________________________________________________
stayalive90 ::: Favorites agreed. i actually saw this dance w/o seeing the intro, and my interpretation was that it was between a woman and her lover. Her lover had died, and she had also just died, and they were seeing each other for the first time. It's similar I guess. I don't know why, that's just what I got from it. bebevirago ::: Favorites who says this piece was about the technique? some ppl are saying if they didnt hear the background story they wouldn't have thought this was a good performance. well, the story is THE reason it is wonderful. if you wanted something extravagant, you'd think someone's personal story was full of bells, whistles, spins, and leaps, right? this was different, it was simple and raw. this story can only be put into movement by someone as "unreal" as Mia. she is truly inspirational. 07-08-10 11:13:22 _____________________________________________________
