A hydra is technically a multi-headed dragon, except what makes Orochi not a dragon is that one, Orochi in Japanese mythology is more described as a serpent but looks like a dragon in scroll work, and his body in the game is an earthen base rather than a living base. Serpent, however, was a common substitute for dragon in ancient and medieval times... __________________________________________________

Therefore, it is possible that Orochi could be both described as a dragon and a serpent. Remember, at the time the legend of Orochi was first told, there were no television, internet, or cameras...so people just had to imagine what the creatures people described from their adventures looked like. __________________________________________________
