Description: Kelsey Briggs was a lively two year old toddler. While her daddy was serving in Iraq, Kelsey was fighting her own battle at home here in Oklahoma. Nine months of documented evidence of abuse was presented to the court. Despite all evidence presented, the court sent Kelsey to the home where she later died. Kelsey's stepfather accepted a plea bargain and has pleaded guilty to the charge of enabling child abuse. He is currently serving a 30-year sentence. Kelsey's mother was found guilty of enabling child abuse and is awaiting formal sentencing. The jury in her trial recommended 27.5 years. No one has admitted responsibility for Kelsey's death. It isn't enough to say "it's so sad that happened." It continues to happen. No community is immune to child abuse. It is time to take a stand for the ones whose cries often go unheard. YOU can make a difference. www.kelseyspurpose.org |

The1HaloGod ::: Favorites why does there have to be child abuse? God, why couldnt those 'parents' give the child to a loving family? but no, thats not what happened. what was the mother thinking? this was her CHILD. how can she just stand and watch an innoccent child be beat? isnt there a sense of pity at all coming from her or the step-'father'? did she see Kelsey Briggs as just something else? that wasnt hers? this is what makes me sick, they dont have a soul to care... God, lest they burn in brimstone and fire in Hell 07-09-10 22:01:27 __________________________________________________ | |
